17In this course we will be creating 3 completed paintings. The focus is on faces with abstract figures. These figures will be adorned with vestments that we make out of all different types of materials- fabric, vintage lace, old vintage papers, plastered fabrics, transfer skins, scribbled and painted abstract pieces and stenciled pages. Hand stitching and matte medium will help to attach these vestments to the figures. We will use joint compound to create relief techniques for added dimension.

I show you so many techniques that you can take to make art that is creative and personal to you. The techniques include gesso and plastering with stencils, image transfers, relief techniques,  painting with acrylics and watercolors, painting portraits, gel printing collage and journaling.

This is by far one of my favorite classes. I give you all my knowledge on how to create unusual and beautiful mixed media pieces. There is a lot of free style exploring as well as good old fashion art principles every artist should know. I come back to this course myself when I need inspiration. It is timeless…..enjoy!!
